Street art is a current very popular form of contemporary art, street art also commonly known as urban art, graffiti art or guerrilla art and is becoming a global phenomenon due work from the likes of Banksy. You can find urban art on many building, street signs, bridges and walls from London to New York, from Paris to Sydney. 

Street art has become so big that it has art galleries just for it and big modern art museums have large parts of its building just for urban art.

Street art has to start in a very secret manner due to the illegal nature of painting on public and private property without the permission of the owner of council. People’s opinions on urban graffiti art can have quite a different opinion, a lot of critics and government offices believe it’s just destruction of property that costs a lot of money to tax payers and that the people committing the offenses should fined and face a prison sentence, where as a lot of people believe it to be a beautiful new art form that has yet to be corrupted by time.
